LandArt: Into the Mouth of the Sea, 2022

I do not think there is much to say about this artpiece. The teacher asked us to create something from the natural environments around us, which is why when I found this cave with divers in it, I was able to immediatly identify how this looked like the mouth of a sea monster. Since I wanted to include little piranhas as well inside the mouth, I had to create a hiding place for them, which is how the stalactites came to be. By coloring them to be similar to the sea, I not only have convenient hiding space for the piranha-birds to ambush from, I also have the upper teeth for the sea monster’s mouth. It’s front teeth also had very big stalagmites to present a sort of entrance for the divers to come from. To finish it off, I was able to import a circleled environment which has a yellow and white coral that can conveniently act as the eye of the sea monster.
